The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has released the reports of UK housing prices from March 2019.

The data shows that England saw the average price fall by 0.5% since February 2019 and the annual price rise of 1.1% puts the average property value at £243,128.

Yorkshire and The Humber saw the highest monthly rise at 1.8%.

The North West saw the largest price drop of 1.7%.

The greatest annual price was seen in Yorkshire and The Humber at 3.6% while London witnessed the largest annual price fall of 1.9%.

Repossession rates in January 2019 reached the lowest figures in the East of England and the highest in the North West.

The capital shows that, on average, house prices have dropped by 0.4% since February 2019 and an annual fall of 1.9% puts average property value at £463,283.

As for Wales, house prices have not seen any fluctuation since February 2019 and an annual price increase of 3.0% sets the average property value at £158,696.

Overall, the March data shows that house prices have dropped by 0.2% since February 2019 and there has been an annual price growth of 1.4%, making the average property in the UK value at around £226,798.
